New Look Haul

Hello guys!

This week's post is going to be on my recent New Look haul. The majority of the items here I bought online with a couple of items that I bought in store. I haven't actually worn anything yet so I can't really review it... It's basically going to be a list of my purchases.

So let's jump right in!

-Dress- I bought the dress for £19.99 in New Look only last week. It was a spur of the moment purchase which is pretty unusual for me. However the dress was too pretty to leave behind!

-Earrings- These were purchased at £3.99 when I went to collect my online order in store. It was the really small blacks studs that swayed me.

-Loafers- I got these for £7.00 online (thank the sales!) and they are now the first pair of coloured shoes I own.

-Socks- I bought shoes so I can't not buy socks right? I got these for 50p each. They're originally £1.99 per pair so I was pretty happy with the bargain.

-Snood- My sisters both have snoods and wear them all the time in winter so I thought it was about time I got myself one as well. It was in the sale section of New Look too and only cost me £1.00.

-Beanie- I bought the beanie in the hope that I could pull it off but sadly I can't. It was also £1.00 online so I guess I didn't lose too much money by buying it.

-Jumper- I've wanted a cowl neck jumper for a while now and seeing this on the New Look website for £10.00 was really a beautiful sight. Needless to say, it was the quickest to go in the basket.

And that's all peeps!

Santhiya

Weight Loss Progress

Hello again guys!

Now this post is one I have intended to write for a while but I've just never got around to doing so.

I've always been a chubby kid and that's affected me since I can remember in terms of my self confidence. It wasn't as bad when I was in primary school or at the beginning of secondary school. Maybe my naivety as a child helped me overlook my weight but as I got older I found it harder to stop my weight stopping me from little things I wanted to do: like wearing things I wanted to or doing certain activities.

No one ever made mean comments about my weight or anything (for which I'm grateful) but I would (still do sometimes) find myself feeling paranoid that people are probably talking about my weight behind my back.

Now, I've always gone through phases where I was really keen to lose weight and get fit, but not seeing results fast enough had me feeling demotivated and ended in me giving up.

This was til around a year and a bit ago...

After sixth form, something in me switched on and I was making changes, albeit small, for the best. From cutting out little unhealthy snacks to working out on a regularly basis. The results since then have been great!

I am yet to reach my "ideal body/weight" and I still find myself losing motivation and gaining a few pounds now and then. However, I'm proud of how far I've come and I hope to see more changes over the year.

Now the verbal diarrhea is out of the way, the numbers:

Height: 156cm
HW: 70.4kg
CW: 58.3kg

Weight tracked in 2014
This post is meant to be the introduction if you like to my weight loss story and I hope to update my weight loss progress every now and then.

Thank you for reading!

Take care,
Santhiya

Wishlist: Jan 2015

Hey guys!

It's the new year and sales are slowly coming to a close (well, I think so anyways...) but I've still got a load of things bookmarked in my browser. In this post I'm going to be sharing a few of the things I want with you guys.

Just a heads up (more for me than you), I probably won't buy all- maybe even any, of this: these are just the things I want.

Wishlist: Jan 2015

1. Mom Shorts- Ok. This item shouldn't really be on my wishlist as I already have it... BUT! I only got it this week (here) so it was technically in my Jan wishlist at the very beginning. Ha. I've wanted a pair of these so called mom shorts for a while now, not because they're super trendy but because they're longer than normal shorts. Although my confidence has improved over the years, I don't think I'm at a stage yet where I'm comfortable enough to wear normal shorts. Sadly, the pair I got were slightly loose but I guess that makes them that bit more comfortable. Right?

2. HTC Desire Eye- This (here) has been on my wishlist since the day I laid eyes on it! I have been going on about this phone as though it was something I'd created. You see, I'm not a big selfie person in the sense I don't take many. However even I am amazed by the idea of having a 13MP front camera- it's so simply amazing! The HTC Desire Eye will be the first phone to have a high quality camera at the front and the back. It's currently retailed at £399.99, which for me is slightly pricey as I'm yet to buy a phone on it's own (i.e. contract-free). On the other hand, you'll be paying £399.99 for an awesome phone so it'll be worth it I guess.

3. Khaki top- I only came across this top (here) recently but I immediately fell in love with it. The pairing of black and that khaki green is perfect in my eyes.

4. Loafers- I have fat/wide feet so these wide fit loafers (here) would be really good for me. My current pair of loafers are slightly worn out and have become loose around the middle where my fat feet have stretched it. If anyone knows any exercises to slim your feet please let me know. Thank you.

5. Table- My current desk is wide but too small in terms of depth; this makes it a bit hard to use a laptop and an A4 notebook at the same time. I saw this (here) table on the Argos website and it's an extendable one with enough space for two people to study.

6. Frizz ease- Is this a self explanatory item? I have frizzy hair... This (here) might help.

And that's a wrap guys! Hopefully I get to buy these things sometime soon- especially the table.

Take care,
Santhiya

Happy New Year: Review and resolutions!

HAPPY NEW YEARS GUYS!

Can you believe it?! It's 2015 already. Ha. Even saying 2015 sounds a little odd.

2014 was a pretty good year for me- of course there was a little bad but that can be overlooked. Here are a few pics showing some of the highlights:

Now 2015... As I mentioned earlier, it sounds so strange. 2015. Strange or not, new year's resolutions are a must for me so here they are:

1. Get fit

2. Study harder
That's a given now that I'm in my second year and want to apply to Med school this coming September.

3. Learn French
As a family, we often go to France so being able to speak French would be really useful! Learning an extra language is pretty useful in general I guess.

4. Get my drivers licence

5. Be more productive
This is something I am pretty terrible at. Anything to stop me being productive, I will most likely do. But that was the old me (hopefully)! This year I want to use my spare time knitting (which I STILL have not started), volunteering, revising, learning to cook/bake, writing posts, taking pictures, etc. Basically anything- as long as it's productive... Or what I call productive anyways.

And that's a wrap!

Once again, happy new year: hope this year is amazing for you guys!

Take care,
Santhiya
